Rikyu

DETAILS B.E.’s RIKYU basin is a stunning work of art, crafted from raku clay. This basin flows from the ancient Japanese tradition of raku pottery, that originated in the 16th century. The basin is named after the Japanese tea master, Sen no Rikyū, who first developed raku pottery, for use in traditional tea ceremonies. It is said that true beauty lies in the imperfections and pinholes of a raku surface. The RIKYU basin stands out for it’s lustrous, glazed look and hand-made crackles created by master artisans.
